Year 11 GCSE Success

The Year 11 students with Miss Savazzi

World Book Day was a double celebration for Year 11 who also received their English and Mathamatics GCSE results that day. It was a surreal experience for Mr Sartain and Ms Savazzi to hand over the awards to the likes of Marshmallow Man, Alice in Wonderland, Shrek, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. Ms Savazzi was delighted that 92% of her students obtained a Grade 4 or higher in English. This is already a school record for the subject. Similarly, Miss Patel was proud of the mathematics results her students achieved. Special mention must go to Marshmallow Man a.k.a. Nick Dodd who achieved two grade 9s. Hiba Javed should also be congratulated for her grade 9 in English.
