This was a smooth journey down the M62 followed by a swift embankment onto the SeaCat. The journey would last almost 3 hours, but with the two cinema shows and food court as well as some fantastic views meant that time flew by. A short minibus ride from Douglas ferry port to the Venture Centre meant that the real adventure could begin.
Day One – Extremely cold. We all remained in one group throughout the week. We began with the sailing assault course, followed the assault course. In the afternoon we did archery. In the evening, we enjoyed the rifle shooting.
Day Two - Still very cold and wet. We went to the bush raft and made our own cowboy sandwiches for lunch. In the afternoon we went to raft building. canoeing and kayaking in the morning. In the evening, we went for a night line.
Day Three - In the morning, we went to gorge walking This was followed by canoeing in the afternoon. And wide games in the evening.
Day Four - Our final day was occupied by Operation Phoenix started the day with team games and challenges, followed by awards for participating in all activities and achievements for the week. This was followed by having traditional pasties for lunch. Then it was home time.
Many thanks to all the staff at Venture Center and Mrs Ali and Mrs Grange for all their support and the children who were brilliantly behaved and represented the school superbly.
