House Captain Luke Ashworth receives the trophy
House Captain Luke Ashworth receives the trophy

On a glorious day there were many excellent races. The event turned into two ‘two-horse’ races. Saturn were just beating Mercury, until the penultimate race when the event was tied. After forty events Sports Day went down to the final race – the 4x100m relay. The winner of that race, and Sports Day Mercury. The House Captain, Luke Ashworth collected the trophy on their behalf.                                                     The Mums and Dads feigned lack of interest in their races. However, these were possibly the most competitive of the day!
