The following 11 students from Year 10 and Year 11 represented Beech House School in the ISA north of England football tournament: Ross Shelley, Luke Ashworth, Hashim Mahmood, Harrison Berry, Sharukh Khan, Daniel Rigg, Matthew Hankinson, Harris Kayani, Adam Millington, Usman Mohammed, and Ali Salman
The event included 16 other schools from the North of England. The team demonstrated fantastic teamwork and determination, along with superb pieces of individual skill. Each school presented different challenges, which the students were able to identify and make tactical alterations. The student’s performance in the group stage was outstanding, winning every game. The stands out performances were from Sharukh and Luke, who score 4 and 3 goals respectively in the tournament. The team then went into the ‘champions league’ due to winning the group, where they faced the other winners of the group stages. Beech House finished 3rd overall in the tournament. This was a superb experience for all involved and will be highly beneficial in future fixtures.
Well done to all of the students involved on their fantastic achievement!
