Under 11 Girls Football

The girls in Years 4, 5 and 6 were selected to participate in a football tournament, organised by the Rochdale Borough School Games Partnership. This was the first game of the season, and for some children, the first competitive game that they had ever played. The girls looked good with their formation and began to understand the basic principles of positioning. The children worked tirelessly throughout the whole tournament with some excellent goals and chances created, with each game (except one) having only one or two goals between the teams. The girls played 6, lost 5 and drew 1, but showed outstanding effort and determination, and represented the school extremely well. Well done girls and we look forward to future events.
