Hollingworth Lake

 These students were, Charlie Egerton, Tasmin Ali, Jasmie Slater and Jessica Nuttall. Each of these students were taken out of their comfort zone, taking part in some activities they have never tried. Charlie really excelled in the archery, hitting multiple bullseyes. Not only this, he and Jess, cycled miles around Hollingworth Lake, taking part in different adventure courses along the trail. Both Tasmin and Jasmine put their fears to test and did themselves proud, by climbing up the rock wall, exceeding all expectations, proving you can do anything if you put your mind to it. Not only this, they also showed great determination throughout their time on the bike, something they weren’t entirely comfortable with. All students represented the school in an admirable fashion, and were great support to one another throughout the day. They are a credit to the school and should be extremely proud of what they achieved that day.

LAMDA The school continues to enter pupils for the speaking examinations. For the first time candidates were entered for the acting examinations.
Chemquiz This term, four students from Years 8, 9 and 10 attended Manchester Metropolitan University to take part in the annual Chemquiz event.
