Remembrance Day

Year 1 and Year 2 attended the Remembrance Day service

Year 1 and Year 2 attended the Remembrance Day service at the War Memorial in the town center. After a slippy walk down through the park we arrived at the war memorial just before 11 am where we then waited for the service to start and the two minutes silence. We all stood very still to pay our respects. Haydar Shahzad (Year1) and Jamine Salaman (Year2) then went to lay the poppy wreaths we had made on the memorial. When the service had finished we waited to speak with the Mayor of Rochdale who thanked us for attending. We then made the trip back up the hill through the park to be back in time for lunch.
