Upper Prep Rochdale Sports

 

All Year 4 and 5 students took part in an event held by Link 4 Life and RBSGP at Heywood Leisure Centre. They took part in goal ball, which was something completely new to them. This was wearing blind folds so the children could get a feel for how the blind footballers participate. The next activity was tennis, where the children could work on their racket skills. The final event was football. Obviously, the children loved this and played exciting games relating to pirates and treasure.

On a glorious June day, the Prep Sports day mirrored the Premiership – played to an empty field. The crowd may have been missing but the races were still competitive, especially the staff race.
