First came the Year 3 Girls Race. A strong start from Lauren El-Hage
Camilla Zebedee-Howard was all that could be seen from the team’s viewpoint, but that was it. As soon as the girls disappeared out of sight it was a case of waiting for them to return up the demanding finishing hill. A few other schools’ students had ran past but then Lauren El-Hage appeared; with half a shoe falling off her foot she was able to finish a positive 11th, but she admittedly thought she could have finished even higher with all of her footwear intact.
Camilla Zebedee-Howard came along battling a stitch but powered home to finish 29th.
The Year 3 Boys Race was ran similar to that of the one previous. Christian Cullen was in 7th place as the finish loomed, only for him to trip in the long grass and be overtaken with 200m to go. Samad Abou ran a respectable race in 28th.
Samad Abou - 28th
Christian Cullen - 11th
Lauren El-Hage - 11th
Camilla Zebedee-Howard - 29th
Adam Rafique - 20th
Elliot Gallienne - 7th
Harry Hurst-Grover - 30th
Hana Hussain - 26th
Anais Aston - 11th
The Year 4 Girls Race saw Anais Aston come 11th whilst Hana Hussain, who picked up an injury during the race, ended up in 26th place.
The Year 4 Boys Race brought Beech House’s best finish - Elliot Galliene ran a fantastic race to finish in 7th place, whilst Adam Rafique and Harry Hurst-Grover completed the course in 20th and 30th place, respectively.
All Beech House representatives finished inside the Top 30 which was a very good achievement.
